need Help Fast!!

ok I have no clue what this is. All I know is that it is red oil. Need to know what I need to get new and how much. The oil is just about over everything on the left side of the engine. This happened everytime i drive for a long time. Thinking it might be the transmission .Pics are here http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...al&media=image

Transmission fluid is used in the tranny and the power steering. Have you checked the level of either one of those? That might help to see where it is coming from. I would guess it is a power steering hose and has a small leak in it. The one that usually goes is the one that goes along the passenger side of the engine. I would clean the engine and then look for the leak again. Good luck. :)

I had a very similar experience a few months back and it was the power steering hose.

Since its at the top left side of your motor, its going to be power steering fluid. As Earl said, check the power steering fluid lines going to from the PS pump. There is a low pressure line that attaches with a hose clamp and a high pressure line that attaches with a compression fitting. Since its all over the underside of the hood, I'd guess that one of the lines has a pinhole leak that is squirting PS fluid. While looking in the engine bay, have someone turn the steering wheel while reving up the motor a bit. That should build sufficient pressure to cause the fluid to squirt.
