Towing a SVX behind a motorhome
 

Is there any way a SVX can be towed behind a motorhome? I know it could be towed on a trailer, but i would like to tow with a tow bar. Is there any way? Thanks for any help. ... Jim

Only if it has a 5 speed manual and you left it in neutral,
or if you had the front wheels on a car dolly and it was either a front wheel drive SVX,
or an all wheel drive SVX WITH THE DRIVESHAFT REMOVED!

Off the top of my head unless the front wheels are totally off the ground
( we towed an AWD van the other day) or the whole car is off the ground or the whole car is on the ground (like tow bar) or...

unless you disconnect driveshaft I would only go four wheels off the ground

if you only have two off the others would try to spin so that wouldnt work

i dont understand these problems... oh yeah i have a 5mt :p but anyway if its awd all 4 have to be off the ground

Basically with all four wheels rolling on the ground, the AWD stuff will still be turning and generating heat. However, the car won't be running so the fluid won't circulate and get cooled. Can you say cooked center differntial?? :eek:

Unless you lift the front wheels off the ground so they can spin freely (I doubt you have a tow truck sling) all four down or all four up
