Other uses for EG33

Did you know that an EG33 fits neatly in a VW Vanagon? The 230+hp is a nice replacement for the stock 90hp problamatic engines... :)

And dont forget about the airplane kits. That reminds me I never heard back from that company about the intake manifold with the built in intercooler.

There was that page where some guy was using an EG33 for his Jetboat... He'd painted it that terrible BLUE color.... I want to see someone put it in the body of one of those aluminium sports cars that ya build from the ground up... Ya know what I'm talkin' about??

Hocrest 06-30-2004 07:55 AM

There is a company out there that has kits to put an EG33 or an ER27 (XT6 engine) into a porsche...

Lotus super seven replica... They usually use an inline 4, sometimes a nut job thinks that they need a V8  probably a dumb american... Too much weight up front causes problems... The EG33 would be a sweet engine in there, but I'll leave that to someone else.

Chiketkd 06-30-2004 12:32 PM

Yeah, those Lotus 7's are sweet! A V8 upfront would definitely be a bad thing! ;)

P.S. The Focus SVT inline 4 is the best engine choice for those cars IMHO.

That's kinda interesting. I was watching 'Rides" (had Tim Allan from Tool Time on it) the other night and they were doing a story about a custom car builder. One of the cars was a replica of an old Jag race car. The body had a very low and wide profile. I was looking at it and thought it would be cool with an EG33. A flat car with a flat engine.

That's more of a takeoff on the design, but it does look similar... The authentic looking cars are beautiful :>
