New subaru slogan I heard
 

"Take your body from 0-60 faster than Porsche, BMW, and Audi"

They should've used that slogan from 1991, when they first intoduced the SVX :D ;) :p :p :p

What Porsche were they comparing it to, the Cayenne? Surely not the 911.

Here's one I heard.

"Have your granola and eat it, too."

the official new slogan is, "AWD and Lesbians, something something."

I'm pretty sure its the boxster.

Yup, it is the boxster. I saw that slogan in an ad for the '05 Legacy 2.5GT.

Must be the Boxster and not the Boxster S. Like anyone cross shops the Legacy and Boxster.

Boxster S- 280 HP 3.2 L flat six
0-60 in 5.2 seconds

Legacy 2.5GT- 250 HP 2.5 L turbocharged flat 4
0-60 in 5.7 seconds

True. One's a two person convertible sports car while the other is a 5 passenger, 4 door turbo sedan. However, several manufacturers just use the Boxster as a benchmark. Porches in many ways are the benchmark for performance! :)

I remember Ford ads that played-up the (extremely vague) physical resemblance of the Ford Granada to a Mercedes. Talk about desperation.
