How much is too much?
I found a 97 SVX LSI 45k red excellent condition. The person wants 11k should I go for it? good deal or bad?

They won't be able to sell it at that price very quickly. I'd talk them down to at least 9K...

compared to what i paid for mine over a year and a half ago, it's a bargain. low mileage SVXs aren't easy to come by anymore. besides, it's only money. :) |

Oh wow! And I missed it. :( Golly, I was on the Yahoo board when he bought it. I hate to have missed the occasion. I hope "Gina" found a good home. |
It is some one here on this site that bought it. I gave them heck about taking away a Washington car. :)

If you go to the top of the page and click on the "SVX or Subaru Links," it's listed there. |

I think he could easily get his asking price. The 97's are super rare, and the number of SVX's with less than 50k has got to be very small. Dave |
Very true - but never under estimate bargaining power and being able to wave cash infront of a person.
I'd start at 9K and maybe at most offer 10K. If he doesn't budge then walk away. Call him again in 3 weeks and see if he wants to talk. With gas prices as high as they are and the economy slowing down, it can take a while for someone to sell a car. A 10K offer would be very hard to turn down... -Chike Quote:

Exactly, or, when the stress of the cost exceeds the level of enjoyment. :D |
