Weather seal

In my quest for a roof rack I see that I may have to remove some of the weather seal. Is this seal glued on or is it a pull/push affair?

I think you sort of squeeze the weatherstripping out of the way, while you push the roof rack bracket into the gap. I doubt you'd want to pull it all the way out.

According to Rola mounting instructions, there are screws behind there and they say pull out the rubber.
