Welcome to the forum. The last 5 numbers on your Vin# will tell you which one you have for that year. Also check this link out http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/user.php?How-To|14346

Question: could someone with a carfax acct. theorhetically pull up the vehicle history report on every single SVX ever made by going through the vin numbers chronologically? Kinda be interesting to get an exact number on how many are actually left

..If they happened to know exactly what trim level, color, restraint system, and manufacture year...as well as randomly know any oth the 10 check digits...then yes. Rough calculations say theres about 720 varients of each sequental number....Times 15000 is about....

Well, yes, in theroy. But it might take you over 10,800,000 tries to get them....just for the US cars :D

here is the vin#jf1 cx3530 nh105777 can u tell me what # car I have out of all that was made in 1992

The last 4 digits of your VIN denotes the production number

According to this, you have the 5777th SVX produced in 1992, but records show only 5280 produced for the 1992 model year

What is your date of manufacture? (located on the plate inside the driver's side door jamb)

My silver, mfg. date 12/91, is #76XX. Either there's a flaw in the VIN theory or the '92 MY production run was longer than popularly believed.

SOA shows 1992 sales at 5280 and 1993 sales at 3859, even though the 1993 was available only as a 25th anniversary edition, numbering about 302.

Maybe there were closer to over 8000 SVX's made the first year, with the left over 92 production cars sold in 1993.

Having such a surplus of '92 model year cars might explain why there were so few 1993 models offered. (Subaru's brass were already thinking, uh-oh.)

When exactly was the first SVX sold? Hard to believe '92 MY production would have started so early if none were sold in '91.

So there were about 8,837 1991-1992 models sold. Did the 1991 production also have an 'N' in the VIN #?

All SVXs produced in calendar year 1991 were 1992 model year cars; there was no '91 SVX. At least, not in the U.S.
