Searchable Parts List
 

I posted some part numbers etc into this Google Doc for all to view.

There is only 60 or so parts in it currently.

I wonder if this is something that would be useful ?

Imagine if it was fully populated with all part numbers for our cars.
Most of the column headings contain notes explaining the intended purpose of each column.

Very ambitious. Could be most useful as some OEM parts are no longer available. The Polish bushing replacements and replacements for gas struts and shock absorbers all come to mind as easy examples. Being Open Source is a great idea.

There was an attempt to put together a similar list a few years back. Don't know what happened to it.

If the mods approve, I think this project should have it's own permanent location on the site.

Take a look at what dbarnblatt has submitted. You can go into each parts section and find the part visually in the diagrams and reference it to the OEM part number. Will also give you quantity needed, but not price.

Very similar to the old subaruparts online searching tool.


Searching the 1stsubaruparts/Hanson Subaru website in their trim sections. Most don't have PNs or a way to choose gray or beige. Somewhat outdated as it still shows the 3 different windshield colors at the same price. No part numbers or availability.

I've updated this with more information.
It seems to be quite handy, took a few seconds to find the part number and price for a crank position sensor.

List has now been populated with over 7000 part numbers including replacement numbers where the part has been superseded and list price from 1stsubaruparts.com

Is this actually useful to anyone ?
