FS: 1995 SVX - 5 Speed - Pics & Video Inside! *** Reduced to $3,900 ***

Guys,
I am posting an entirely new thread (after touching base with Ensteele) since I've ironed out just about all of the wrinkles from when I first posted her up for sale.
This fresh thread has new pics and even a video, both of which I took yesterday.

State SVX is in: Georgia (near Atlanta)
Year: 1995
Model: L
VIN: JF1CX3358SH101220
Paint Color: Green
Interior Color: Gray cloth
Miles: 150'xxx
Drivetrain: 5spd - AWD

Modifications:
  • ECUTune Stage 1 v5 (linky)
  • PWR Aluminum Radiator
  • 5spd Manual Transmission Swap (late 90s Impreza), less than 1000 miles since swap, Tom's kit, fully rebuilt and coated drive-shaft (shifts and feels great)
  • Kenwood CD/MP3 Deck, Pioneer 6x9 3-way rear speakers, two 12" Subwoofers and Amp (custom harness, clean install, easily reversible, stock deck available)
  • K&N drop in air filter, like new
  • Optima Yellow-top battery (the best battery I've ever had in a car)
  • Rattling resonator was removed and a pipe was welded in its place (sounds stock except for slight growl at higher rpm - it also sheds weight)
Major service:
  • Timing Belt, Water Pump (less than 10k miles ago - daily driver is my Civic Hatchback)
  • Rear wheel bearings (less than 500 miles on them)
  • Valve Cover Gaskets (less than 500 miles on them)
  • Replaced CV Joints in all corners
  • Replaced AC Compressor, new dryer, seals, flushed and vacuumed system
  • Rotors and pads replaced less than 20k miles ago
  • New Power Steering pump installed around 10k miles ago
  • New (custom) Aero-grade High-pressure Power Steering hose by Aeroquip
  • Fuel filter replaced less than 20k miles ago
  • GM Synchromesh fluid used for Rear Differential and Trasmission
Engine Condition: Very good, healthy, pulls strong

Maintenance Records: Available from previous owner plus regular manitenance I performed as well as major services documented on this Forum

Transmission condition: Feels great, crisp shifts in all gears, clutch is firm and smooth

Glass condition: Good, no tints (passenger's switch contacts may need cleaning)

Type of tire and remaining tread: Toyo (model forthcoming), ~75% left

Type of wheels:
  • TWO SETS of Nissan Murano 18" wheels with tires (tires on 2nd set are fair) + original wheels without tires
  • I have the centercaps for one of the Murano wheelsets, already removed Nissan emblem, filled holes and primed them.
Ready for paint to match wheels (I have custom made SVX decals to be applied on centercaps after paint)
  • Anti-vibration clips installed on all wheels, vehicle was aligned at Miami Chassis
Interior condition: Very good, clean, smells clean (no smoking), two small gushes on driver's seat (~5" - pic - already bought matching vinyl for patching)

Body condition:
  • Good all around, beautiful when clean, could use a paintjob (paint faded on bumpers, driver's side fender, spoiler), a few very small dents and slight, minor hood chipping from highway driving
  • NO RUST (Florida)
Known defects or problems:
  • AC system is completely redone, however at times compressor doesn't engage. Likely a simple electrical problem, looking at AC Relay and Fuses
  • Driver's seat (two cracks - mentioned above)
  • Above mentioned body blemishes in some areas (small dents, chips, fading)
Comments about the car:
  • General: Looks great, very clean, with a paintjob she'd be perfect. Headlights treated, they are not yellow anymore. Manual transmission shifts great. Great care was taken when installing the shifer assembly, it's fully sealed and covered by sound deadening material. The reason I have the ECU Tune Stage 1 as well as the extra set of wheels is because my Dad traded in his SVX and brought it back to stock. The Eclipse is/was my go-fast car, the SVX has always been babied and NEVER raced or driven hard, save for the occasional high-gear pull on the highway to keep engine smooth. She's seen only Mobil 1 Syntethic 10W-30 oil with Purolator PureONE filters.
  • About the Sound System: Custom harness was used, original harness left intact and original deck will be included! Subwoofer box was custom built by my neighbor in Miami (he does custom entertainment systems for these guys) and fits right under the rear speakers. Box volume, material, Subwoofer and Amplifier wattage were carefully calculated based on vehicle size and structure. Two 12" SoundStream Subwoofers and SoundStream Amp. The system is practically new, excellent conditions, sounds perfect and has been used little because it turned out being louder than I expected (never cranked volume more than 18-20 - I think max is 40 - will provide details on Wattage).

Asking price: Bought her for ~$4000 in 2003, drove for less than 30k miles and spent a LOT of money on her.
Dropping price considerably from my previous thread (and now she has a lot more invested in her - VC gaskets, new bearings and more): $5300

...Pics continue on next thread...

Bottom Line: Clean, babied SVX with 5spd swap already done! I am a very meticulous person and don't cut corners. I am the type of guy that takes care of the smallest details, such as turning off stereo, AC and lights before shutting off the car and not turning them on until after the engine is running. I am very picky. Everything she received (both mainteinance and modifications) was performed with the best parts/materials by myself (except for unreasonable things such like STi transmission, could not affort it), and in cases where I couldn't, by the best professional I could find.

*** I might have missed something, will add as I remember! ***

All I want is for her to go in the hands of a fellow enthusiast that will take good care of her and enjoy her for years and many miles to come.

Thank you,

-Walter

Walter - That is a very nice car. Your price is very fair for what the car has in it. Did you take off the spoiler? Do you have one SVX wheel that is the different shade, or is it the lighting? Good luck with the sale. Whoever buys it will have a very nice car. It is clean and you have kept her clean. :)

Thanks for the kind words Earl. Yes, I took off the spoiler because it needs to be repainted (small crack in paint, 95% of spoiler surface has good paint though). I did not close the holes on the trunk though, so the spoiler can be mounted back in 5 minutes (and the holes are outside of the trunk gasket/insulation, so no water/dust enter the trunk).

The SVX wheel shade must be caused by lighting because they were never repainted. They are in solid shape, but could be repainted to look their best. Thanks again for the encouragement, I sure have put a lot of love and effort in her and hope to see her go in good hands.

why do you want to sell her?

Also good luck to your sale. She looks good.

Any mpg difference if you run 87 and 93? Power-wise too?

How many mpg does your civic hatchback get? Just wonder.

I need to simplify my life, I have too many toys/distractions. If I keep her, I know I will buy a Cloud/K-Staff front bumper, have her painted and continue playing around. I have too many projects and I am getting overwhelmed, I am selling my Eclipse as well (even more sweat, money and tears on her).

Thanks man, I appreciate it.

Thankfully I've never had to switch to 87 (Regular), always pumped Premium. It is however a nice option to be able to safely run regular gas, especially when I lived in Miami and gas would be hard to find during hurricanes.

Keep in mind, my Hatch is the CX model (SOHC 8v, 1.5L 67hp - bone stock). I can squeeze right around 45mpg on the highway and high 30s daily driving. A tangible increase in mpg was gained after I had my injectors serviced by Rich (he can't service SVX injectors, I already inquired ;)). Whenever the engine goes (been rock solid thus far) I am planning on swapping in a 3-stage VTEC motor, which supposedly can yield even better mileage (and let me pass other cars on the highway :D).

Ciao,

-Walter

Marc, thanks for the compliments and for offering the bumper and fender to help potential buyers, I appreciate it. With regards to the wheels... I replied to your PM. At this point I'll consider selling them separately.

Ok... not quite "that night" since I had a couple of visits from interested parties, so eBay posting is postponed until next Sunday (I should be hearing from them before then).

If you're interested or have any questions, please let me know. I would love to avoid putting her on eBay (I am starting to dislike that place and their practices a lot lately).

Thanks in advance!
