Dabob Seafood Meet
 

It is time again for the Dabob Seafood Meet. This year it will be July 18,19, and 20. This is Fri, Sat, and Sun.

Events are as follows:

Friday
. 12:00 clam digging & oyster picking
. dinner as needed and group potluck
. 9:00 campfire gathering

Saturday
. 9:30 - 12:30 Car Rally (like last year, but Norm proof)
. 1:30 (or so) Seafood Feast
. Afternoon - Dig clams, pick oysters, Pick Crab Pots, Kayak
. Afternoon - beach comb, kick tires, swim, look at cars
. Evening - EAT leftovers, campfire, Drinking etc.

Sunday
. Earl's waffle fest
. 10:00 If there is interest, a senic drive
. Misc activities and fun

There will be a Rally on Sat morning and the main seafood event will be early Saturday afternoon.

I have some rooms that are available and will be assigned for best usage during the weekend. There is a nice grassy area for tents, or there are other areas for sleeping outside under cover if wanted. If you bring sleeping bags, there will be a comfortable place for you.

People usually bring food that can be shared for the meals that they will be at and we potluck it. The Seafood Fest and Waffle Fest will be hosted by Earl, but if people want to bring stuff that goes with them, that would be great.

Bring your own drinks or drinks that can be shared. There is a good store about 10 and another 15 miles away if we run out of anything.

So what exactly will be hapening those 3 days?

I want to go, and my car is now fixed, lol.

However we have a paid family vacation in July... Not sure of the dates, but I hope to make it work for at least Saturday. I will let you know as the meet gets closer.

This just had to be scheduled when I'm going to Sunriver with the family. Maybe next year.

This is about 60 miles east of Seattle on Hood Canal. :)

Wish I could come! I'll be up in Oak Harbor for Whidbey Island Race Week this year from July 18–26. I had a blast last year, so I wish I didn't have to miss the Dabob weekend this time. Have fun!
