Someone on a local forum has problems identifying this car. Bets are it's american, maybe Ford Probe with a body kit. Someone suggested mr2 and even ferraris but left noone convinced.

The prevailing opinion is that it's american, for some reason.

Might be a Vett

not ruling it out but a 1991 NSX here cost about six months gross salary for a well paid person. Haven't seen any modified NSXes around.

Conn, first gen nsx all have popup headlights.

Looks more like a C5/6 Vette with an aftermarket bumper.

It doesn't have the proper lines to be an NSX though

Acura has rear side vents, from the pics I've seen.

Found this: "97-04 Chevy Corvette C5 TS Concept Front Bumper in Duraflex."

Looks corvette-ish to me as well, just from the overall shape.

^ Yea, with either the bottom part of that bumper painted black, or a black lip. And maybe different fogs.

Or maybe a removed lip. To me it seems a 2 piece bumper cover.

Comparing the two pictures, the mirrors, the fender arches, slightly visible roof humps, amber lights of the sides, front opening, etc.... all match up.

Damn, you guys are good! Looks like you nailed it.

Gotta hand it to the Vettes, they sure look good :)

Especially when you very rarely see one.

They're very rare here. It's Porsche-money and muscle cars aren't really in vogue. I've said it before, there isn't a straight quarter mile in the entire country.
