Heuh??? Can it Be?
Just got that email from a friend... I dunno if this is true, here it goes:
"A unique happening Coming October 17, 2008 the sun will rise continuously for 36 hrs (1.5 days). During this time the US countries will be dark for 1.5 days. It will convert 3 days into 2 big days. It will happen once in 2400 yrs. We're very lucky to see this." Weirdest thing since the eclipse... |
Re: Heuh??? Can it Be?
Umm.... spam, scam, and a bit of stupid sprinkled on top? :D
In order for this to happen the earth would have to stop spinning... and then spin up again... myeah... that's doable... |
Re: Heuh??? Can it Be?
:tard::lol::lol: Ya, not making much sense there. The length of a day depends on the Earth's rotational period (24h, 59 seconds roughly), so to change that you would have to slow the Earth's rotation, as Sov13t said. Maybe if we got every single rocket every made, lined them all up against the planet's rotation, bolted them down, and fired them all simultaniously...we might make a lot of noise, but that would be about it.

As to the original post, +1 on <Picard> |
Maybe what will happen is everyone will suddenly begin to move very quickly, thus altering our relative time space?
|
It's true! I found evidence.
Look: http://www.maxpaynethemovie.com/ Extensive use of bullet time will actually slow down the entire world. :tard: You see what I did there. |

Re: Heuh??? Can it Be?
800mph rotation to zero, then start again! then stop again on day 2ish, and start again! Where's superman to fly in from space and push the earth so hard it stops?

Re: Heuh??? Can it Be?
One things for sure, we'll all get up to 30 more horsepower and 20% better fuel economy, guaranteed.
