Lavender SVX?
Granted... I am fairly new to the SVX family, but I dont remember ever seeing a lavender/purple SVX.
Was browsing EvilBay and saw this one. If its a repaint they actually seem to have taken the time and done it right. EBAY LINK Jim |
They did make a purple one, but it doesnt look too purple, its called claret.

The one in the picture from ebay is a claret, it does have the black top.
I had one not too long ago. |

I have seen Claret and Bourdeaux Pearl in person... the one on ebay is a LOT lighter colored. I thought Lavender was a fairly accurate representation of the color.

The Ebay car sure looks like a Claret to me. But Claret looks like purple to me anyways.

It's A 92 Claret

That would be claret. It's essentially a dark purplish color with gold pearl to it, which, if you look closely at that fender picture, jumps out as the light hits it.
the bordeaux is a purplish with a red pearl, so when the light hits it, it turns a rich lipstic color, as bill showed. The claret was offered in 92 only, and the bordeaux in 94 and up when I think lavender, I think of that light pastel purple you always see on like...easter eggs and stuff. or like this color:o Actually, I can see how that would get confused with the ebay pictures...but Ill atribute it to the camera making the color too bright, and the fact the car is completely filthy |
i agree it is filthy. you shouldn't treat these ladies this way

The Clarets and Bordeauxs really vary in color depending on lighting conditions and what angle you are at. Also how dusty/dirty they are.
Here's a couple shots of a Claret, same stock color scheme as the one in the ebay picture: http://nwsvx.com/Pictures/SVX4.JPG http://nwsvx.com/Pictures/SVX7.JPG |
