This is a hard decision......

So heres the story... I build computers as a side business, then sell them once they're all put together. The most recent one, being sold today went for two thousand. But heres the hard decision.... use the 2k to build a better computer I can sell, or get my dream car back... which is an SVX   I was just wondering what you all think.... ~Dennis

i would say build another computer or a couple until you have some more money in case you need to repair the svx, insurance, gas, mods, or anything else like that.

Save up a bit more for a newer, nicer SVX :)

mysvxrocks 07-13-2006 10:54 PM

thats what i was thinking.... I like the SVX's above 93's. I dont like the power seat belts or the grey leather. Id like to get a 94 ebony LSi or newer, only because the svx is hotter in my opinion when its black with tan leather :D  :p

So you're saying the parts cost you nothing?? 100% profit?

mysvxrocks 07-14-2006 11:41 AM

No I pay for parts too, but I still make money on each computer... only this time Im thinking about spending all the money I got from the last deal on a new computer for myself to keep. Ive already put one together and I can tell you it screams! ;)

Earthworm 07-14-2006 12:30 PM

for $2000 I should hope so! :D

Dual 7950's SLI for 4 GPU's :p

The SVX will just help you to spend more money...

If building the computer will get you some money/profit, you should do that first until you have more ability to afford a nicer SVX...

How long have you dealt with computers? Too bad you're far..

mysvxrocks 07-16-2006 04:35 AM

ive been working with them since i was 8 or 9, that was when i tore my first one apart... im really good at it now, im in advanced computer classes in school too. Its looking like my career will be something to do with computers.

build more for profit...wait on keeping one for yourself. Besides, the one you'll want to keep will be the one you make in Jan. or Feb. for yourself, since then you are talking about the new Direct X 10 GPU's and the pending quad core Intel Conroe chips, and no doubt AMD will throw something fresh out there for their AM2 platform. Oh...and Vista

I would INVEST the money by building a new computer. That is your means to make money and when you have saved enough, you can then buy a SVX. Do you build them and then try to sell them, or do you find a buyer and then build the computer to their specifications? Just wondered. :)
