Have you tried checking your IRIS valve for the power under 4k? i believe that Harvey has posted a check for it. might want to check it out.

No I haven't tried that yet but I might do so today when i get back to my house. I just read it not to long ago, definitely something worth checking...

question

when you had to wire the tranny wires up, which gear is lit up on the instrument cluster?

TomsSVX 11-18-2004 02:48 PM

no lights on my dash

Earthworm 11-18-2004 03:13 PM

If you don't use the NSS off the auto you will not have a gear lit up on the dash.

TomsSVX 11-18-2004 03:30 PM

it has a clutch switch so the nss is not needed. i am wondering if i need to ground the neutral pin?

Earthworm 11-18-2004 05:15 PM

I haven't grounded mine yet but I've been meaning to try this.

Don't forget that sometimes the lights burn out too. I still have the autobox and my 'D' light is out.

solution

ok, here is my solution. i had wired up the wires so the "N" is lit on the dash. this worked, but often the car would just die as the rpm's would die after a 2-3 rpm load. i then switched the wires to lite up the "D" on the dash and have yet to have the car die. its been 6 months so far. the wires are under the hood, going into the firewall, your just going to have to try different ones until you find the ones that lite up the "D". please let me know if this works for anyone else.
