SVX Diagrams

Does anyone have a 4-view diagram of an SVX? Something like the one below:

http://media.caranddriver.com/images...s-1280x782.jpg

The views need to be square (no perspective shots) and the higher resolution the better. I'll be using it to generate a 3D model of the car in CATIA. I have images that should do for the front, rear and side, but nothing for the top view.

My main goal is to play around with customized body parts (bumpers, skirts, etc), but over time I can also turn it into more of an engineering model with mechanical bits inside.

Try finding a copy of the Road and Track write up when the SVX first came out. I believe (?) that it had these figures in it.

Cheers,
Bill

Bill is correct. This is shown in the road and track guide. I have a copy at my office and I'll try to scan it in tomorrow if I have a chance.

Awesome! That would be a great help. Thanks!

Re: SVX Diagrams

For anyone curious, here are a couple of my current projects:

http://www.subaru-svx.net/photopost/...face_Model.jpg

The first is an R8, the second is a float for my RC plane. The float I'll be turning into a full parts model with all the structural and mechanical bits. The yellow surfaces are only skins with zero thickness, they form the outer shell from which I can build inward to create the internal parts. My roommate just ordered a 3D printer, so in a few weeks I'll be able to design, prototype and test my own parts.

:ninja:

Looks familiar.... :)

If you get a good 3d model of it that I can use in AutoCad or Inventor, I would love to get a copy of the file....

Re: SVX Diagrams

Sure, I'll definitely make it available to anyone who would like it. I'm working in Catia, so it will be a .catpart format. I'll have to investigate saving into different/universal formats.

Small bump. I have 3 of the 4 views I need (side, front and rear) but still need a top view diagram. Anyone know of a source for one? I've been through the factory service manual to no avail.

Stand above an SVX on an overpass & take photos ......

Re: SVX Diagrams

lol. My car isn't drivable right now (blown fuel line and broken window), and a picture adds depth to the shot. I need a 2D diagram that keeps all the dimensions accurate.
