exhaust
Can't seem to find any exhaust systems for the SVX. Any suggestions where to look?

You can start with Motorsport Warehouse. They're good people.

you can you the same muffler flowmaster or any comany make for the chevy camaro i would not go any bigger then 2.5 in pipe.
i used the flow master muffler of ebay got it for 69.99 it was like 70 something with shipping and i got a 2.5 high flow cat for about the same price this guy i know did the install for $200 and thats from the headers down |
Besides the Stebro and Flatt system, there aren't any "bolt-in" exhaust systems. If you don't want the Stebro or the Flatt, then your only option is to buy parts and have a reputable muffler shop weld it up. There are tons of suitable mufflers and accessories available for great prices. If you are just looking for better sound and a few HP, the easiest to do is to make a cat-back system. For an SVX cat-back system, 2.5" OD tubing is appropriate. (There's no point in going higher because the real constriction are the catalytic converters.) The least expensive way to go is to use a Camaro-style cross-flow muffler. Both Magnaflow and Flow Master make ones. A resonator is also needed. Magnaflow has a nice one that's perfect for the SVX. And then you just need to pick some exhaust tips.

hmm
What do you need the resonater for? Mine has a loose baffle and I was just going to remove it with a straight pipe

A resonator will make a better exhaust sound than using a straight piece of pipe. And it is possible that it will offer better performance over a straight pipe by causing sonic reflections that will improve exhaust scavenging from the cylinders at around 4000-4500 rpm.

I am in the process of getting another exhaust set up done to my car. 2.5'' from headers to tips. I'm not sure if I will be using any cats or mufflers. Gotta see what taxes bring to me. I might use the stock cats and skip the muffler.
The way my car sits now is both pre cats and thats it. I took off the Y cat so I could true dual and sidepipe the car. But after many failed attempts, the side pipes came off. With just the pre cats, the car sounds awesome at idle and sounds like a built V-8 under acceleration. It just gets a little too loud inside the car at the moment. Keith |
