mercedes' new svx biter
 

whats up

i was looking at the auto section of my local paper

and i found this!


i dunno about the overall styling, but those windows are sweet (if but a little small)

it is called the genius hybrid (?)
and mercedes plans to produce them starting around 2012

I am really disappointed in Mercedes. They used to be more innovative than to copy from the Japs, and especially from our beloved SVX...
I think the prices of our SVX'es will rise in 2012.. :D :D

I never knew Mercedes wanted to make a hybrid or one that would be able to go that fast to need those windows. :rolleyes:

But I guess with that shape they needed to make some aspects of it more aerodynamic.

Maybe they'll start a trend or something.

2012 you say? figure itll take them another 10 years to make it look nice too.

It's both ugly and unappealing to the eyes.

Not only that, I don't like the way it looks.

It's that Chrysler intervention going on. I like Chryslers, but they are cheapening the Benz. Literally. You can buy one now for less that 20k.

I don't think Chrysler is affecting Benz, but the other way around. It's just the German company is having a bad taste beginning 1995 with its E class... The models are improving now, lets see what the future ones will look like...

Benz needs to do something. They are slowly losing their mystique they've enjoyed over here for the last 5 decades.
