AMR engineering radiator
Hi folks! I'm brand new to the network (first post). I am also new to SVX ownership. I recently purchased a 92 with a blown radiator. I hastily purchased one of those custom radiators with the fans. After a month of waiting it is finally shipping. In the meantime I found a great second hand all aluminum radiator on eBay. It's working just fine and I really don't need a spare $500 radiator. If you're interested let me know.
Thank you! |
Re: AMR engineering radiator
How much are you looking for and is it the "custom fan shroud" model?
Pictures? |
Re: AMR engineering radiator
I just had a small accident w/a deer which slightly bent my old aluminum radiator so I am also interested depending on price/shipping and if it has the fans which also got destroyed being plastic.

Re: AMR engineering radiator
The asking price is retail. I'm willing to eat the shipping. It is still in it's shipping packaging. I can look in it and see if all is as advertised if desired. It is the model with the slim fans and what not.

Re: aluminum radiator availability
.
First batch of 10 aluminum radiators have arrived in California. https://www.ebay.com/itm/XXX/1340856...niAHICIMvN2BPs The supplied radiator has too high a pressure rating. Use a 13psi (0.9 bar) cap . |
Re: aluminum radiator availability
Thats a great price did you have a hand in getting this done?
every one should get one the factory one is just a ticking time bomb. waiting to go. Jim Quote:

Re: AMR engineering radiator
WOW! 5 of them sold in one day. Think there is a demand?
My Silla radiator is still in great shape or I'd be buying one. |
Re: AMR engineering radiator
Hey guys, new (inexperienced) SVX owner here. Purchased just 3 weeks ago. LOVE it!
I have a leaking AMR radiator on the car now. And I have a pressured-tested OEM radiator in a box. Questions regarding the one on ebay now: 1. Will it fit our SVXs without modification? 2. Will the dual-fan assembly attach to this ebay one without issues? 3. Will the radiator caps I have on the AMR and/or the OEM solve for the "supplied radiator has too high a pressure rating" challenge? 4. What else should I be asking or do I need to know before I buy off ebay, and hand the new radiator to a mechanic? Hoses? Clamps? Help pls. Bob. |
Re: AMR engineering radiator
first welcome
next we won't know much till we get one in our hands and test it out but it should bolt right in fans included. next your leaking amr should be fixable by most radiator shops. on the caps it depends on what they are rated at and do they leak past. last if you are going to own a svx this would be a good place to start working on it AS WE ALL SMILE.:) no I said smile:D Jim Quote:

Re: AMR engineering radiator
Well whom ever is selling these must have taken the monies from the first 9 and bought some crack. they now want 999.00 for the last one. greed will get you nothing I won't be pointing anyone that way again.

Re: AMR engineering radiator
That's pretty sad! What a shame, he would have been a good resource if he had gotten more.

Re: AMR engineering radiator
quick review it looks great everything lines up, thick core, good thing fins are not as dense as ours. looks to be well built
will see if they get more and drop the insane 999 for the last one looks like they do it to all the last ones. kudos to those that got one. Jim |
Re: AMR engineering radiator
