Admin's Update

Well, I am about to take a long deserved vacation. I realize that this is NOT the best of time to do so, but it might be my last chance before getting called back to active duty for war reasons. I will be in Las Vegas if anyone in the general area wants to meet up. I will be staying at the Stratosphere. If anyone wants to get a hold of me, send me a PM and I will get you contact information. I will be attending the NHRA ¼ mile track and watching how the big boys make it look easy, and without regard to cost. If only I had a full ride sponsorship! When I return, there will be some changes going on. Right now we are down to 10% free space on the disk storage. A nice FAT RAID 5 array of drives will be in place to solve this upcoming crisis. Also for those interested (or who follow my SVX racing hobby) I am attempting to get financing on a local cheap (slightly torn up) SVX. If all goes well, my current SVX will return to daily driver status and will no longer have to deal with the pressures and stress of racing. This new bought one (if all goes well) will become my new dedicated SVX race-car. :D

Do you need any user donations for the RAID array? I have a bit of change I could scrape together. G'luck on your vacation, and stay outta hte champagne rooms. :p

Now now... I have been racing the SVX yearly since 2000. It has long been my plan to turn an SVX into a dedicated race car. Employment (or lack of) and a serious lack of funds prevented it for years, thusly making Mr. Chris Debban (my mechanic) very mad at me. This will make him and me a bunch happier. If I break something at the track, I still have something to drive to work and make money for the repairs. With only car, it was hard and when I blew my motor mounts last year, I was out of a ride for almost 7 weeks.

Now, I can look into extreme options like supercharging at the end of the race season. hehehehe :D :D (no, not an April fools joke)

Chris,
I so wish we could meet you this weekend in Vegas. It was a serious possibility (Vegas is only 8 hrs away) until my college roommate said she was coming here for a visit this same weekend (haven't seen her for 5 yrs).
Sorry, but I had to choose the least expensive and the most emotional of the two.
Hope to get up to see you soon.

~~Michelle
(P.S. Feel like meeting in Yellowstone next month?)
