TOP SECRET Inverted Struts
Recently, I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon at RojoRocket's place, to build some struts for our 4.444 Pearl LS. :):p
Glenn prepped the strut bodies and springs ahead of time, sending me the top mounts and shields to prep, before catching up with him at his place a few weeks later. Glenn has a nice work station, vise, and the tools and experience necessary to do most any job quickly and cleanly. The project turned out well. Glenn took some pics, I'll see if he can post up ;) |
Re: TOP SECRET Inverted Struts
Great to spend some quality time with a quality friend, Ron. Looking forward to seeing the lightweight beast in action!

Re: TOP SECRET Inverted Struts
Ron, are these the STi inverted Bilsteins? Or a custom made set?

Good catch, yes, these are 'hand-me-down' springs from Tim, when he upgraded to coil-overs. Ron |

No, just a couple of 'young' fogeys having some fun, we're not fast enough to paint freeway signs. The struts were 'inverted' to stand on the top mounts for a picture, yt called it [thought he would] ;) The springs are Mychailo, about 25% stiffer, and a bit lower, just like the pink STI springs that Subaru advertises, so, give credit to Mychailo for doing for the SVX what STI won't :) The struts were removed from Glenn's 97, after Glenn swapped the Konis from the wrecked '93. We took the 97 out for a run, after he had the car aligned, the Konis make a nice improvement. |
