Undercarriage Wire Harness trouble?

A week ago, I pulled into a parking lot and scraped the hell out of the underside of my car (driveway goes up to meet sidewalk and then quickly down into underground lot.)

starting a few days later, my Check Engine light stays on and I get a flashing Power light. Also the speedometer/odometer does not work since the error lights came on. I pulled the codes and here is what I get:

Ecu: Code 31 - Throttle Position Sensor or Circuit
Code 33 - Vehicle Speed Sensor or Circuit

TCU: Code 33 - Vehicle Speed Sensor 2

Since it is 20 degrees outside, my shop manual is loaned out, and my garage isn't finished yet, I will probably take it to the shop to have looked at.

Are these sensors tied into a harness that may have gotten damaged at the parking ramp? I'd like to think that the TPS and Speed senosr wouldn't fail at the exact same time without a little help.

Both sensors' harnesses drape from the top down, so while it's unusual for both to go at the same time, I find it just as difficult to believe that scraping bottom would be the cause. It could have jostled things a bit and caused a poor ground situation to show. I'd clear the codes and watch for a repeat, especially if you're not experiencing any noticeable problems.

Thanks Beav.

Other than no speedometer, it runs and drives great.

I think I'll just clear the codes and have the speed sensor looked at. I doubt the TPS is really malfuntioning. If it is, the code will come back.

Another consideration is that the AWD won't work as the TCU relies on information reported by the two speed sensors. It's the difference between the sensors that causes the TCU to determine wheel slippage.
