Once again, off we go into an off topic

Hi everyone, Tomorrow is Prom for one of my kids and his gf. The service mgr. at my Subaru Dealer recently got a 1995 Lincoln Town Car from his parents.. I asked if I could rent it to use as a limo and he said sure. I said how much, and he said no charge. Its white with a burgandy leather interior. The handling is the worst I have ever experienced in a car in my life. And the brakes need some work as well. However it will get the job done just taking it easy on the city streets, no freeway miles. BTW The Lincoln has 141,000 + miles and is comepletly quite, no rattles. Well time to get my chauffeur hat out and try it on. Take care BOBB

It's nice of you to play chauffer for your kids.

I drove my SVX to the prom. Great feedback :)

From your date?
I'm not sure I want to hear anymore about this "feedback."

Welll.... People did think it was a rental right behind the stretched excursion.

Prom

Hi everyone, I would have taken them in the SVX, but the male of the party is 6'6'' and doesn't really fit in the back. And his date is going to have problems with a long, full , formal gown getting in the back seat. Of course neither one drives, so the Lincoln worked out really well. Believe it or not by today I was doing very well with the QEll of cars. It's over now and unless I live long enough to take a grandkid to prom this is it for me as a "limo" driver.Take care, BOBB

I also drove the SVX to my Junior Prom last year, this year we left one of our friends in charge of the limo rental thing, but he seems to be a bit slow, so if worse comes to worse, ill be taking the Pearlie this year too. Not bad, but id like not to have to drive.:D

I'd love to drive mine to the prom even more if it were a 5 speed. The second gear is too damn high of a gear for passing at like 35 :(.
