I was watching some Motor and Car show and the newest buzz at the auto shows is that Saab and Fuji Heavy Industry are combining to produce some far out concept car to be show sometime in the future. Didn't get much detail from the program, but it seems that there are both colaborating at the drawing board!!! Lets see what they come up with....

WTLM  .

This has been news for quite some time, try doing a search for "Saabaru" or other stuff like that.

I have seen pictures of it on www.nasioc.com, if you wanna go do a search there.

I hope that you can all forgive my lack of care to know all that is "SUBARU" in the world.

from what i read neither sabb nor subaru is happy about this "synergy". Thanks, GM!

PS - if the chevy cobalt (cavalier replacement) is another spin of the impreza platform, save the AWD, i will simply die. yuck. wow...daymares.

It was bad enough when Subaru got together with GM, now SAAB. I guess that's one way to eliminate the competition. I can't remember exactly, but didn't Subaru develop the first front wheel drive for Toyota? The f-10?
I guess I just dont UNDERSTAND the business sense of these trends. Other than sucking the life out of Subaru.

Actually I think Subaru developed the first modern FWD car for themselves, the F-1.

i'm also very pissed about what happened to isuzu. GM butchered that company. the 1992 impulse rs was one of the coolest cars ever. easily modified, simple, handled like a race car, had awd, and those headlights, waaaaaaaaay cool. very nice evolution of the original 1981 giuguario design, too, which looked very much like the lotus concept he did in 84, which looked a lot like the SVX. if i ever see one of those rs impulses on ebay, i will fight to the death for it.

reading my post, i realized i forgot to say the point i was getting to. wow i'm tired, up 36 hours now...just read this:

also has an interesting piece at the bottom about the impreza.

Bwana, I just was paying homage to your words of wisdom.
