SVX R/C body
Ok here is the thing...if anyone can translate japanese we have a good chance of finding out how to produce the SVX scale body.
If they can do it so can we:p Pic another pic Thank you Mike..:) |
I think those bodies are awesome!!! I would love to get at least 2 of them. Does anyone know or have any info on these bodies/ RC cars? I'd love to know.....

Thats cool as hell. I have an R/C car wonder if they sell those, and if they'd fit my car? I have a skyline body now. I had to get the R/C since i can't afford the real thing. Someday though I'll have one of those beauties.

Where is the Japaneese that you have to translate. I think I can get that done if I know what you need translated.
|
Sorry to shoot your hopes down guys...
Those RC bodies are made by combining 2 (was it 3) different bodies. There was a toyota and a mitsubishi names mentioned somewhere on the Japanese SVX site about those. There were only a handful made (about 10) and unfortunately, no mold to recreate either. Lwin |
I know the main portion is a Toyota something... LOL... that wont help very much. ;)

I have this similear thread before. Please do a search and you will find the body info.

This is the site...if we can combine bodies it may work.... |
Has anyone tried clicking to the car club's homepage?, They have some real nice pictures of their svx's. I just started to double click all the japanese letters until I came across their calender of events. They hold, or held a lot of rallies/meetings/ and looks like some sort Q and A at a shop, where they're looking at a SVX powertrain. (I tried to find the most current link, at it looks like nothing's happened with this club for about a year... Kinda sad...)It's pretty neat to see, but I still want a couple of those RC SVX Bodies.......:D :D :D :D

http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...ighlight=R%2FC I got an e-mail from a guy in Japan a month ago asking questions about the scale model I'm making and he volunteered the following information on the R/C SVXs: ------------------------------------------------------- Radio controlled SVX, about 1/10 in scale, is a personal hand-made example. It was modelled over a Toyota Levin and a total of 8 were made. But now the base model is out of production, and now it is impossible to reproduce them. Hope it help. Happy New Year, everybody!
Those models are awesome! I cannot believe the detail on them. There is more going on there than just a clear lexan body judging from the look of chrome bezels behind the headlights and turn signals. They look like scale model bodies that were modified to R/C use. I'd honestly be afraid to run one of those cars since one hit with a curb or a flip on the pavement would make me cry.
I still think we can fairly easily make a lexan body and am still willing to give it a try. Sounds like a fun project to me! I have to check the other thread to see if Leslie sent me those dimensions, if not I will still need them, Leslie. PM me with them please. |
its hard to believe there are no SVX Hotwheels, scale models, or other toys floating around somewhere. you can ususally find stuff like this on ebay, but apparently not for the SVX. i have a ton of weird 928 toys and models (and telephone:D), but i wouldn't mind having at least ONE SVX diecast!
