Nikon D100 on the way!

I got one off ebay last week :D so I'm finally upgrading, no more fuzzy hand held point-n-shoot digi cam pictures for me :D it even has an extended waranty lasting another ~18 months :D

Now you just need to buy a couple of lenses and you'll be golden!

I like my Canon EOS D-60 although I wouldn't have gotten it if I didn't already have a few lenses from my 35mm (film) EOS.

I have a few lenses, trouble is I also have a $50,000 shoping list of lenses

Honestly Napa, I woulda gone for the D50. I've been shopping for a DSLR myself, and based on reviews and asking around, I've found that the D50 is just as good as the D70s but it lacks very small details such as no white balance fine tuning, no DOF preview button, and no vertical grip availible. Other than that, its an awesome camera that, according to a NASIOC member rivals the D200 and D2x in the high ISO/low noise dept. Said member also owns a D2h so he does know a bit about DSLRs and actually traded a D100 for his D50.

The D50-D70(s)-D100 are so close that it becomes more personal taste than anything else, as far as I have seen there is no vertical grip for the D50-D70 so they wern't even an option, I use this all the time on my N90.

... yeah, I have about 10 grand in EOS glass just waiting for me to make the jump to digital

and then there are those two EOS1's that are just sitting there waiting for more free film :(

And, I'll have to agree with Napa on the importance of a vertical grip :D

Canon VS Nikon is mostly personal taste, I started with Nikon so I stay with nikno, Cannon would mean starting over, both are top of the line cammeras :D
