SVX crashed into a tavern on the news
Hey, I was watching the news about 10 minuetes ago and they were talking about a 66 year old woman crashing her car into a tavern along HWY 99 in Lynnwood, WA. To my suprise when they zoomed in on the car in was a green SVX. Figured I'd mention it since you don't see an SVX on the news to often except for the SVX police chase that happened awhile ago.

Re: SVX crashed into a tavern on the news
Which news was it :eek::eek:
EDIT: Found it.. http://www.komonews.com/news/31436994.html I see an SVX there. Wonder if the insurance will total it.... If so, I wonder what year/trim level it is... as it will more than likely go to a local scrap yard.... Sucks though. Never like to see one of these wrecked EDIT again: Larger photo http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a36...titled-1-2.jpg Seeing the extent of the damage to the car.... Im pretty sure it will be totaled :( The damage is really pretty dang bad. The trunk looks like it split in the middle To me it looks like a 92 Teal. Those look like darker rims, blue tint windows, no SVX side logo.... I dunno, might just be the picture |
Re: SVX crashed into a tavern on the news
yup, I think its a 92 teal too, though I have to admit everyone thought my car was green till I found out subaru didn't MAKE a green SVX in 92.... so I guess anyone calling the 92 teal green gets a pass from me

Woman Backs Car Through Lynnwood Tavern POSTED: 11:31 am PDT October 21, 2008 UPDATED: 11:36 am PDT October 21, 2008 A woman was hurt when she backed her car through a tavern in Lynnwood Monday night. The collision was reported at 6:06 p.m. at One Eyed Jacks in the 14000 block of Highway 99 North. There were about six people in the tavern when the car backed through the south wall of the building. No one inside the tavern was injured. Paramedics from Snohomish County Fire District 1 transported the driver, a woman in her 60s, to Providence Everett Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries. The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the collision. I can see 3 reasons why this might have happened..... |
Re: Will this buff out?
She must have hit the wall pretty hard to go through it that far.

Re: Will this buff out?
At least we know now that if the local pub makes ya mad ya can back through it with hardly a dent. hehe :D

Re: Will this buff out?
What's with all the publicity stunts for this car? ;)
Seriously, backed in through a pool hall/bar? That **** never happens in a cavalier! :P |

Re: SVX crashed into a tavern on the news
You know, considering it just went though a exterior wall, it certainly held up well. Sure the corners are dented and the lights might be broke and the trunk lid looks cracked in a few places. But over all, its not really bad.
I bet they could have driven it back out the hole :p Just goes to show you how well built these are. |
Re: SVX crashed into a tavern on the news
THe exterior wall appears to be nothing more than a bit of wood, no brick and such, so it probably could have been a lot worse.
An older lady drove through the front of my local wawa a year or so ago in a cavalier type vehicle, i don't know if it was exactly that, i was busy paying attention to the fact that there was no one there to take my money for my coffee. I left exact change on the counter. Apparently she was pulling up and hit the gas instead of the brake, and plowed through. |
