Animal thread..

My silly cat has been pestering me since I sat down at this machine!

It's a 'good' kinda pester. She is 8 years old,a calico, her bright orange and brown patches are beginning to fade to tan and gray.

She has been a wonderful companion. She still acts like a kitten.

She set her sights on ME being hers a couple years ago. She has very little contact with the rest of the family. She 'moved' into my office then and has not left, except to get a drink of water.
I come home from work, SHE is the first to greet me! When I get up hours before the 'family', she gets up. Even my stupid little dog won't get up!
Just that ol' Calico cat!

She's not the kinda person that will sit on your lap, she is more about standing on something and rubbing on you till you pet her.
She KNOWS where to stand to get the best pettin'. Right now, she is sitting on my briefcase about 1 foot from my left arm.

Crazy cat!!

lol, arent cats the greatest? She sounds like the perfect kitty :) We currently have 9  and one of those (rescued stray) is about to have kittens any day now.... im going to be up to my eyeballs in cats. This is in addition to the 4 dogs  so maybe if I can find a couple chimps we can open a carnival.

I like it Jerry!

That cat of yours sounds like the way you might like a loyal dog to behave. ;)

Yesterday I was cutting some hedges and found a stray rabbit grazing right next to my Jersey Girl SVX. When I say "stray" I'm serious. :) This is no wild rabbit, it is a pet domestic breed.

I know nothing about rabbits, but this one is pale brown or beige coloured, but with dark brown ears that hang down. I went right up to him and picked him up. He kicked and bucked a bit when picked up, but did not bite. He stayed quiet as a mouse as I introduced him to the family. [I say 'him' but it could be a girl for all I know. Don't know anything about sexing rabbits]

I have him in my dog compound right now. No dogs at present, just svx engines and rotovators and lawnmowers in there.

We will see if somebody is missing a pet rabbit, some kid somewhere is pining for this guy, he's real cute. I don't think he would survive too long out loose. We had a fox in here the other day chewing on my windfall apples. We also have wild rabbits here as well. We have five little snappers grazing and chewing up the apples, a recent litter from the local wild pair.

It's just like Animal Farm round here! We'll have to move out soon.

Joe :)

Awwwww I have a real soft spot for Maine coons, my first cat I got when I was 2 was a Maine coon, she used to sleep at the end of my bed at night and keep me safe from the "monsters". She lived to be 17, and once sent a full grown Doberman Pincher yelping and running for its life when it went after one of her adopted kittens. I loved her very much.

Our tuxedo kitten just turned 6 mos and got spayed yesterday, they get big so fast, shes already 5.5lbs

She is 'GUILTY' of one of these things. She LOVES to sit for hours and wait for a mouse to breach her space. Then she will POUNCE and deliver a broken body for my inspection! Her 'scorecard' for this year is 10 mousies!
She lays them where I will be sure to step on them in my bare feet. I'm sure she hides and laughs at me when I get grosed out!
