Should I Add a Transmission Cooler?
I just bought a 94 SVX with a new transmission installed by Subaru about 30K miles ago (at 85K miles) with upgraded parts. I dont know whether or not I should add a transmission cooler to prolong its life. I'm not sure I want to tempt fate by messing with it. I added one to my 92 which had 35K miles when purchased and it didnt help at all. On the other hand, I added one to my 96 and when I sold it at 120K miles, it was on its original (and still great shifting) transmission. Any thoughts, and if you think a cooler would be beneficial, which one would you recommend? Thanks.

I figure it can't hurt.

Re: Should I Add a Transmission Cooler?
I would. 92s had problems with the transmissions more than other years. Because you have a 94, it has upgraded transmission and it would help to have the cooler. I would add a filter as well. PermaCool filters work very nice. Good luck. :)
