Ask Ewie here in New Zealand how much he wants for his - he is in the process of getting 2 SVXs from NUTSHL (Ian), thing he is going to get the best of each to make up a great 4WS JDM (but he will have plenty of JDM spares...

They're glass and are motorized.

Re: JDM SVX Headlamps

jdm headlights are neither glass nor motorized, they are exactly the same as the usdm ones, but aimed for RHD cars. afaik only glass lensed lights were on australian and european spec cars, only motorized ones were on european spec cars.

I'm almost certain that the german SVX was the one with the glass headlights. I'm pretty sure svxcess has them on his polo with those nifty cover thingys.

.

German SVXs got glass headlights with the LHD beam pattern, no fog lights and motorized leveling, activated from the center console.
At the time of the SVX introduction, the German TUV laws prohibited polycarbonate lenses, only glass was permitted. This law is no longer in existence.

But I have the OEM stock US poly headlights, protected behind the factory headlight shields. The shields were developed by Subaru specifically to protect the German glass lenses from rocks and other road hazards. I know of 2 other sets inexistence

The New Zealand cars with glass headlights are using the RHD beam pattern and won't work property on the US-spec (LHD) cars.

I am certain that only SVX's with glass headlights AND the correct LHD beam pattern are found in Germany.

Re: JDM SVX Headlamps

Other differences are that the JDM, European, and I think the NZ and Austrailian headlights use H1 and H3 bulbs, not 9005 & 9006 bulbs like the US. The JDM lights do have the fog light. Also, they have an extra, smaller bulb in the high beam well below the main bulb as a running/parking light.
