Quick Question about Perma cool Filter
Got the filter kit for the 92 teal.Got confused about where the pressure line from the trany goes to IN or OUT of the filter mount:confused::confused:
Can anyone help??? Thanks |
My Permacool filter had stampings on the top labeled "In" and "out".
MAKE SURE IT IS PLUMBED CORRECTLY!!!!!! I know, I fried a transmission the other year a week before my trip to the Dragon. There is a check valve that won't allow reverse flow. I plumbed it wrong as was amazed how low my tranny temp gauge was staying. Of course it stayed cool because there was no flow.... |
so which line goes to IN?
|
Follow the directions with the Permacool, put the hoses into some bags and crank the engine.

Thank you. I did read the instruction many times. Confused still. I know which hose is the pressure line( Driver side BTW ). Just need to know which hose goes to IN????

Can you confirm this is the right set up? I marked the IN and OUT on the filter mount. I am bypassing the stock cooler.
Thanks again |
Yeah, that's it.

Some members have had problems with the temp not staying warm enough for the tranny to lock up. If that is the case, you may need to go into the radiator before the external cooler. Good luck. :)
