The doomsday pronosticator from California has now revised his prediction so that the world will end on October 21, 2011. So, I think we ought to hold another Reading SVX Meet on October 21st. We all want to meet our maker in good spirits and what better way to put us in good spirits (or good spirits into us). We can even check into the Holiday Inn for the weekend at the regular rate, run up bar and restaurant tabs and by the time we must check out on Sunday there will be no one at the front desk (or no front desk) to charge our credit cards.

I say that's a win - win situation for SVXers everywhere.
We can call this gathering 'The Reading SVX Meet To End All SVX Meets", or over the summer, we can hold a contest to name this SVX meet. The only rule will be that the winner must be at the HI in Morgantown to collect the prize.

Hope to see all SVXers there.

Well he was not too far wrong in the past 3 weeks there has been world wide devastation .

Earl,

He actually got two predictions wrong.
The first prediction was Sept. 1994 and the last one was May 21, 2011.
So far he's 0 for 2.
Maybe the third time (Oct. this year) will be the charm.
If not, he'll be o for 3 and strike out.
