Ac pressure switch
 

So got the system charged and no leaks. But the compressor won't engage. You can jump it and it comes on just fine. But went thru and checked all the wires and connections and all are good. I believe it's the pressure switch next to the condenser. Is there any way of checking it to see if it is bad?

hold the off and auto buttons down then turn the key on, all the lights will flash on and after a while it will display codes in the temp display. if it has codes it would make it much easier.

Thx tried that no codes. But i noticed yesterday the freon dye is leaking thru the pressure switch around the connection pins. So gonna assume it is bad.

That switch is sold only as an assembly, including the pipe. About $80 (with a token discount)

There was a 94 at the junk yard. Pulled the pressure switch form in looks like a new one :)

I picked up one theses assemblies new about two years ago when I thought it was my problem, there were only 7 left in the country.
