long arm not to long

The Long Arm of The Law is not that long. Me and a fellow SVXer were doing a buck10 on a backroad in oregon near the Idaho border. Pulled over to chat for a minute when three of Oregons finest surrounded us. They said that there were multiple reports of reckless driving and identifies the two vehicles as red and white. Obviously didn't mention the odd shaped windows. Anyway, the cops searched my car for NOS and anything else that may have contributed to the speed we were driving at. Probably just wanted to check out the car. Anyway, they threatened me and friend with 500 dollar tickets, 30 to 6 months in jail, suspension of licenses and a few other charges. In the end they let us go on the basis of Boys with Toys will be Boys with Toys. That's my story. We got lucky.;)

I'd say quite lucky.....

so slayer, what do you have under that hood?

Subafreak 04-07-2004 08:41 PM

Fortunatly they can't really do anything from just people calling in and saying stuff. Hell if I wanted I could just call up and people pulled over that were pissing me off becouse they were going to slow and wouldn't get the he77 out of my way.:p

Those cops were cool! Glad you guys didn't have to see the inside of a slammer...

Fastest I've taken my Lightning is 140+ (speedo ends at 140mph) on a lonely stretch of the interstate. Luckily, my stupidity didn't end in my truck being wrecked or me being arrested. Now, I leave the fast driving to the pros...

It would have been faster, but my T rated tires will only be safe at 118 mph. In response to a question asked, my right shoe is made primarily of steel, iron, and a hydraulic ram that helps me lift my shoe off of the gas pedal and safely maneuver it to the brake pedal. :D

Also, Noir, I have what everyone else has under the hood, a boxer engine nicknamed Holyfield, and one hell of an exhaust system ;)

In AZ they haul your butt off to jail for anything over 80.... well... sometimes they do anyway.
