verdict on what?

hero -OR- fool? :p :D

Andy 03-11-2006 11:59 AM

It's not my fault that I am thick.

The title should be Hero or Fool, but I've got fingers like cows t!ts, so some times I have trouble hitting the right keys.

Not to worry, there is always some clever dick who will point out my mistakes http://cc.smisk.us/smilies/teasing/teaser.gif

Definitely fool. If he had turned the key off totally, sure it would have locked up. That's why cars are designed with two ignition off positions off and lock.

Either that or he is way over dependant on power assist. That's all he would have lost.

My wife used to have an old MG midget that she put those dumb "feet" pedals on. It would occasionally get stuck for the 2 weeks before I yanked them back off. Just turn the key off.

This sounds like a "sue BMW for a few bucks, and settle out of court" routine. He didn't have the mind to turn off the ignition, but he had the mind to operate a phone during the emergency to document it live with the police. How convenient.

....Did I miss something? Why didnt he just throw it in neutral and coast it out? I was in the same situation when my cadillac's cruise controll took over the car. my sister the same when her civic was flooring itself on the parkway. Put the thing in neutral and coast it out. Or hell, you can even turn the car OFF once its in neutral and just use a little more force to steer it is all. Definently a fool

Noir has fingers like a lady - he never fat-fingers the keyboard. :D

Total shister, turn the ignition off, not all the way to lock, just 1 click  it was safer to hit the roundabout head on than turn the ignition off? If he had killed himself he could have gotten a darwin award!

He says it was stuck in drive, and he was afraid he might lose all power (steering/brakes) if he turned the car off. Even without dying, he probably does deserve a darwin award.

His name wouldn't be Mike Wallace by any chance?

Andy 06-19-2006 03:10 PM

With driving like that, he is more likely to be Mike Hunt. (I'm a Simpsons fan)
