Where to get new radiator?
I have a crack in the top tank of my radiator. This is a many year old replacement factory subaru radiator. Do they have lifetime warrenties by the way?
I searching for a new one, Silla appears out of stock and Radsus does not list any on eBay. Best factory price was at Discounted subaru parts for $436. Any other places to look? Thanks. Bil |

Thanks for the response.
Unfortunately I have already ordered a factory unit. $450, ouch. But I needed to move ahead as this is my DD. Bill |

Re: Where to get new radiator?
I'm glad my radiator broke when the Sillas were cheap an plentiful. Hopefully it will last like OEM since the lifetime warranty doesn't look like it can be honored.

Notes: Remanufactured Compressor And Clutch, * IMPORTANT NOTICE *: WHEN SYSTEM OPENED, REPLACE DRIER~DON'T REMOVE PLUG IF REPLACING NON SW TYPE OR~INTERCHANGE SUPERHEAT AND HI PRES TYPES, COMP TYPE: DCW17BE
from the description at the top of the page it does not sound like a radiator |
Re: Where to get new radiator?
It is a radiator. I searched it on line and you can find it at a cheaper price. I believe Amazon's description is screwed up. I would double check if it fits our cars even though it says it is. If you search the sellers other items (Radiator-1988-76 Chevrolet ) it says it fits our car too!

Re: Where to get new radiator?
I've been through a couple of cracked top tanks now, usual repair technique here is for a radiator shop to fabricate a new top tank from aluminium or brass/copper(?).
Expensive, but could be worth it if you have a really good core (mine was copper core, not alum.) |
