Ode to W. B.

What is that droning sound that I hear ?
It seems to be coming from the right rear.

The faster I go, the louder it doth scream !
Can it be that I'm having a very bad dream ?

But hark I'm awake, and my mind's crystal clear.
The volume continues and rings in my ear.

What can it be, I say somewhat muddled ?
That sound shakes my brain and leaves me befuddled.

But thanks to this club, and everyone's sharing.
I realize at once, it's a wheel bearing !

My spirit falls low, my stomach feels sinking.
Where is that TSB, is what I'm thinking !

But then I take heart, my spirit increases.
I know I must find the best bearing greases.

I take out the offender, and inspect its race.
The spring shoots a ball right into my face.

The ball hits my skin, it hurts like a pimple !
From now on my cheek has a permanent dimple.

The new bearing is cleaned, it shines all aglow
It's relubed with synth to make it just so.

Now when I drive, I try to listen and hear
But no noise can be heard, tis music to mine ear.

Randy,

Since you opened the door, I feel that I must 'grease (synth.) the skids' a bit further.

So I dedicate this attachment to all the SVXers who have cursed at that litlle dimpled white ball while sweating in the hot sun on a beautifully manicured green.

I hope the "cartoony type pictures" are viewable on this site. I had a lot of trouble copying them. If not, use your imagination.

It really doesn't say how to get out of a sand trap?

That would be when the stick is used repeatedly with no end result until a wedge, with long purposefull strokes, under extremely high stress are used:D

Neither does it address proper maintenance or divot repair. Nor does it discuss the rules addressing a Mulligan.

Or what about allowing the people behind you to play through.

What about team play?

At this stage of my life, I guess that I'm only going to play miniature golf from now on.

What was the term George Costanza used?
Oh yes, "Shrinkage" !
