Alcyone Dragon Meet 2007

OK, Just wanted to announce that
the 2007 Alcyone Dragon Meet will be:
July 20-22 2007
Location: Fontana Village Resort in NC

This will be for 1st and 2nd generation Alcyones (XT's and SVX's)

It's always a kind of "Laid back" meet, mostly about hanging out and doing a little driving on the "Dragon"....this will be our 5th Dragon meet, we had it with the NASIOC crew the first few times, but have been doing it solo the last few years.
There is generally a cookout on Sat. night

I hope we get a several SVXs there this year, I should have my yellow one there, and my EG33 powered XT6 (FrankenWedge)

So everyone get your time off scheduled, and we'll try to get the rooms set up.

I'll post more as I get it

Hope to see ya there.....

Sure, you can show up without it, that'd be fine...but you have plenty of time to get it going;)

The trip from Colorado would be much nicer in the SVX...but I think driving the Draon itself is funner in a XT6...but the drive there is a lot more miles than the Dragon....so if both cars were in equal shape, I'd have to give the nod to the SVX....as the open road is what it was made to do...and it does it well:cool:

I may be there.... My girlfriend lives in Knoxville so a weekend trip in July down to that part of the country would be great.

Okay Boys and Girls…

I’ve got the Group Rates for the Rooms and Dogwood Cabins.

Dogwood Cabins, $81.75 per night
which have 2 bedrooms (1 Full & 2 Twins) NO AC and basic cable.

The rooms at the Inn are $84.15 per night
Which have either a king, or 2 full beds AC and basic cable

Yes, the Cabins are cheaper than the rooms….these aren’t the nicest cabins, but DO NOT have AC

They are going to hold 10 cabins and 5 rooms for us.
The cut off of them to hold them will be June 1st…after that it will just be weather or not they have any rooms/cabins still available.
Ther are different cabins available with AC, just ask for details when calling.

The phone number for reservations is
1-800-849-2258
Tell them you're with the "Subaru Alcyone" Group when you call.

I’ll lead out:

1. Huck + Sommer (Room at the Inn)

After going the last 2 years in an XT6, I'll be there in an SVX this time.

I can't do the whole ride but I could probably meet up on saturday for the cookout. Let me know where you will be on Saturday.
