New Belgium Brewery

How many people have heard of the New Belgium Brewing company, or had their beer? The reason I ask is because they are headquartered here in Fort Collins, and apparently, they are on the verge of becoming the 10th biggest brewery in the nation, but no one outside of Fort Collins seems to have heard of it. If you dont live in Colorado (im assuming the rest of you Colorado SVXers know what it is), then ring in and let me know if you have heard of it and have had their beer. Its delicious, BTW.

Beer

What is the name of the company. What is the name of the beer that they sell:confused:

The company name is "New Belgium Brewing" Their beers are:
Sunshine Wheat, 1554, Abbey, Tripple, Fat Tire, Blue Paddle, and then there are 5 seasonal beers, which are Skinny Dip, Saison, 2 below, Spring Board, and Frombozen.

i think it's a regional thing because when i was in olathe, ks (kansas city metro) in 2000, fat tire was the hot new thing.

i know i've been drinking their beer for more than 10 years.

also i drive up to fc every late fall / early winter to buy a keg of frambozen.

and most imortantly, i'm currently wearing some new belgium chapstick. :D

The fat tire's are good. I tried looking for it when I was in NY last month, and nobody carried it.

out of the "sandbox" temporarily or permanently?

I am in the Military, so I would have to say temporarily.

I have redeployed back to Germany though.

I've visited the brewery. Their beers are far overrated with fat tire being the worst.

New to Me

I live in northern New Mexico and have never heard of any of them. Of course, at my age I am not a frequent visitor to establishments that dispense such liquids. ;) Just go for an occasional brew or enjoy a couple with certain "out" meals. :)

I agreee that fat tire is way overrated, I am not a big fan of that at all. If you read the label, it says it is supposed to taste like a "biscuit like malt". Who wants to drink a beer that tastes like biscuits? But sunshine is definetly not overrated, it has got to be my favorite beer.

Never heard of it. The word Belgium however pops up a lot in the Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy series.
