How To Mod The Rear Diff for 4.44 Swap???
 

I am about to start the 4.44 trans swap. How do I swap/mod the gear sets inside the rear diffs.? I read somewhere that grinding are needed. Does anybody have a write up for this?

Thanks for the link, but I have not done this before, specially with gear set backlash. Anyone with pictures to make this project easier to understand? :confused:

The two bumps are the things circled in red. When you pull off the diff cover, you will be able to see them clearly (and they won't be there when you pull the cover off of your svx rear). They really don't have to be ground-down that much, just grind for a min and see if you can get the diff/ring gear in, if not - keep grinding.
