? About Rear Diff
Since I have been unable to find a cheap local diff, I found this one on ebay. Will it wotk, or am I still gonna need to transfer the case?

Looks like to me that that's the entire thing. Bolt that baby up to some axles, the frame, and a drive shaft, and you'd have a party.

They do not show the inside of the rear end housing, but from the different axles it appeares to be a LSD.
And they claim the ratio is 4.44. I can get for you a 4.44 open diff for about $100.00 plus shipping, and you could convert it using your SVX LSD. But it would be easier to get a factory set up. If it fits. |
Would the driveshaft input be any different?
Even if I use a normal Outback Diff and swap the LSD carrier, the input shaft would still be the same, right? Any assistance would be grateful, thanks. |
Measure the driveshaft flange and hole spacing.
As I remember the only time the flange did not fit was on a 4.11 swap. So I had to remove the flange from the SVX and install it on the 4.11. |
the flanges are easy to swap... just mark where they are and count the thread and put the new one back in th same spot
