I'd love to be the first to answer this question.

As soon as I figure out what limewire is, I will. :D

yeah i don't know mang. all the mp3 players i have utilizes drag and drop whereas ipod uses iTunes (which i'm not a big fan of).

good luck.

i'm not a fan of steve jobs and his elitest neon driving enthusists. ;)

Drag and drop. Use something like music monkey to organize your mp3 and id3 tags first if you want. Remember, once it's in the ipod, you really can't take it out again. One computer sync to one ipod is the key. Because of that reason, I returned my video ipod. I am on a cheap mp3 player that plays off my 1GB SD card.

Electrophil 02-02-2006 10:27 PM

Ahhh... come on. Peer to peer?

Anybody ever hear of newsgroups? You know, the beginning days of the internet? They're still around.... only much larger.

OK... a hint.

alt.binaries.ipod.videos
alt.binaries.ipod.videos.music
alt.binaries.ipod.videos.movies

I've never touched peer to peer. Always newsgroups.
But then, hey... I was running around with an Apple II back when Gore invented the internet.:D :D

The first laptop was a apple IIC back in the early 80's. :D

really, so once you upload the music to the ipod, you can't take it out again or transfer it to others?

sounds like that sony bullsheiss. my cousin brought over a sony 20gb 'network walkman' the other day. it was piece of trash. you had to convert all music to their avwhatever format.

worthless. it takes like 4-5 hours to fill up that player and it doesn't have a playlist.

dumbest product ever....a mp3 player that doesn't play mp3's.

then again i once lacked hair on teh nether regions. ;) :p

newsgroups is cool and all, but 7megabit downloads are fastAr! ;)

Electrophil 02-02-2006 10:37 PM

Sony just got in trouble a few months back for those spyware rootkits. Class action lawsuits, the works. Funny, remember back when they came out with the Betamax? They were all for freedom of recording devices then.

"alt.binaries.paxer" has every ipod converter that exists right now. I just did a search.

7 Megabits? Where can I get that? I wanna! I wanna!!:D

I have the usual 5 megabit cable connection, and easynews.com maxes it out.
Full DVD's take me less than an hour using Reget as the downloader.

no, unless you use one of many freeware programs that allow you to do it.

doesn't matter to me, anyway. i have an external HD where all my music resides grouped neatly in folders by artist/album. there's really no need for me to drag it back off the iPOD.

i'm no fan of Apple crap, but i broke down and got an iPOD because they are the easiest to use in a car (which is what i use it for). pop it in the dock, and it charges and sends the audio to my headunit. i have a Creative Labs Jukebox, but you need to connect the power cord, and the cord into the headphone jack to get crappy headphone jack audio. the small control buttons are a PITA, too.

You just erase it all. iTunes and the Updater software can clear it completely then just load another playlist. I just bought a simple 2GB Pod and i love it. :D If i need more than 500 songs at one time something is wrong lol.

i have 1300 songs, and i didn't even reach 1/3 capacity. :D

i need to start ripping more of my CD's on it. its nice to have your entire CD collection in the car - like having a radio station that plays nothing but music you like. :)
