rocker cover gasket replacement
just wondering what is the best way to do it?
ive got the new gaskets 2 do it. just i see it is very tight 2 get in there. thanxs |
Remove the battery and airbox to give yourself some extra room to work. You may also be able to unbolt the main fuse panel and move it over a bit, but make sure you have the battery disconnected before doing that to eliminate risk of shocks to you or the SVX.

1 BIG HINT; remove the 2 bolts securing the motor mounts to the sub-frame. This allows the motor to move up past the frame rails and make your task really easy. This along w/ removing the batt and air box makes this a rather easy job. I say this though as someone who has a set of flex head gear wrenches...

yourconfused, unbolting the motor mount bolts is one way of addressing this job, however i think it may be a little more effort, when i've had difficulty with this job its always been with removing the coil packs, the rear driver's side one is hard, but if you go through the service hold inside the wheel well it is a real easy. After that it was smooth sailing...
