I have a '92 svx engine in a '86 vanagon. The conversion is almost done and I am trying to work out the bugs. I have the check engine light hooked up and I keep getting code 23. The idle is high, at about 1800 to 2000. The CE light flashes on and then off at about 2500 to 3000 rpms if I rev it up really fast. If i gradually increase the rpms I get no code. I have tried a different MAF and have search all over for a vacuum leak. Any help or insight would help, thanks

Check the input signal from the MAF to the ECU.
