Oil pressure switch gone?
 

Has anybody had engine oil pressure switch go south?
Just realized I do not have oil pressure light coming up when turning the ignition on. Checked - not a bulb, if I ground the wire from the switch, light comes on.

Is it a typical failure or my SVX simply continues on its path of unique, unexplainable and unreproducable failures?

Oh well it was indeed the switch. 165k miles was the most it could do. Probably died from contamination with oil deposits.
