can overfilling tranny cause problems?
 
hi quick question. pls reply if u know the answer otherwise dont :)

if i have overfilled tranny can it cause any harm? and why or why not :)

as i think my tranny was overfilled for more then a year (when tranny was repaired)... still goes but weird things happen.

you really shouldnt do that. you might find that your dipstick pops up every once in a while. its possible to blow seals and cause leakage (so ive heard, and witnessed).
make sure you are on flat ground when checking the levels.

Overfilled is bad. It causes the fluid to foam up which hurts cooling.

hmmm ok
im talking about tranny not engine

anyays how can i take some of fluid out?

:confused:

thats kinda hard considering i dont have any special tools

I drained some tranny fluid once by taking some airline tubing used for fish tank pumps and siphoning it though the dipstick tube. Just don't swallow:)

You can drain some by opening the drain a few turns then tightening back up. Usually it'll work without leaking
