For Sale: Ecu Reflash $500

Ok guys I have come along with a jewel. I am selling a ECU reflash, a $750 value (STI) for $500. That is a $250 savings. I am willing to bend on the offer but, do not submit a reply unless you are serious about buying. Send me a PM if you want to talk about the price. This is for an ECU Reflash, possible extra 50-100hp. This will only work on cars that are '99+. From what I here they are very valuable.

AFBeefcake 06-12-2005 09:13 PM

You think it would work on a US 2002 WRX MT ECU?
I'm installing the motor and ECU into my friends 98 legacy GT.

Isn't $750 high for just a reflash. For that price you can buy a UTEC.

...what is a reflash anyway? (little slow in the tech dept)

black beast 06-13-2005 07:30 AM

The guy from ECUTEK said that was the price of the unit. And yes it would work on a 02, it works on anything 99 and above. Tell me a price, and you may get it.

I would make you an offer, but you would just laugh and say no way.

I would try selling it on NASIOC.com

Is this the unit you won at the Wicked big Subaru meet? Kinda pricey for something you got for free, don't ya think? Where's the love?:)

The love is I want to keep my thumbs, I owe a lot of people a lot of money.

JK but I do owe a lot of money. to my mom, my boss etc. and it won't work on a SVX anyway. I was hoping you guys knew someone that wanted horsepower.

New Price $500!!!

(still has no idea what a reflash is)

black beast 06-15-2005 07:38 AM

A reflash takes you ecu makes it blank and then, redoes it so that the car has more power. Things change include air to fuel mix, RPM, and more things. Said to give an extra 50-100hp.

kuroneko_sama 06-15-2005 09:37 PM

nifty... im used to having those non tuner cars where you had to bore out cylendars and use aluminum headers and install duel carbs and glass packs

my rx-7 was the onyl real tuner car i had...and the rotary engine wasnt exactly the same as say ....any other engine

i think a basic straight exhaust/manifold change with a cold air/forced air intake would make me happy enough with my car.

50-100 hp on a reflash, sure buddy

mikecg 06-16-2005 01:52 PM

Not doing me much good. I dont have an SVX newer than '94. But I'll keep looking for that '99. :D

Ever wonder what's different between the Audi TT's 1.8L 225HP and VW's 1.8L 180HP engines?

With some minor upgrades, yes.
Otherwise more like 20-40hp with everything else being stock.
