A Tech Question.....help!
 

OK I got to work this AM and our maintence man was outside and said " I need to borrow your car so I can fix mine up!!!!!!! So I got to talking to him and somebody got him to move a bunch of cars from a lot so they didnt get crushed and theres a claret SVX there! He says it runs ok but it wont rev up past 5500 RPM's. He took the exhaust off thinking it was topped up but it still wont act like its supposed to. Not knowing enough about it to tell him anything I told him I'd ask someone. He says the body has been abused though. Gonna go look at it this week! :D

Fuel Cut or Spark. Possibly fuel filter, coils, air filter, ECU in limp mode. Too difficult to tell really, just a few possibilities. Have fun...

FUN is not what I am hoping for....OWNERSHIP is! I assume since it runs it cant be a huge something wrong, but hopefully with help we can figure it out and it wont rust away!

There's probably an engine trouble code that wasn't mentioned.

Well Sam told me today that the car is a 92 and hes not real sure exactly who owns it......WTF? He said its been sitting at his house for a while though. How do I check for stored codes? Or tell him how to check for codes at all? He doesnt have the title so maybe I can get it for a parts car. (IF it cant be fixed and a title gotten!) I want the leather seats out of it. My 16 year old wants the car running for her. :D
