Adjustable Front Anti-Sway Bars for Cheap!

Jamie, (A moderator on another SVX site) since I do not know how to start a new thread, can you perhaps start one saying something like, "Krynock, aka OT, aka svxfiles has wants to share some news."
What the news is, is that I figured a way to make our stock front anti sway bars 15% t0 30% stiffer than stock, for flatter handeling! ADJUSTABLE, and for CHEAP! With any luck I will have the first on created by Saturday. (I did create one by that Saturday and had it painted and installed on The Race Car!) And on Sunday Elezar, (my Race Car Driver) who at this time knows NOTHING about it!
So you are the first to know about the stiffer front bar, Jamie.
Welcome to The Inner Circle. : )

Tom Krynock Oops. Picture embarrassed face here. I thought I was sending a private message. Anyhow the information is above, but I will not know the costs until Saturday. Some things look GREAT on paper, but suck. in real life, Elezar, my good friend and driver of The Killer Wail will be running on a big boys track on Sunday, and since he LIKES the current set up, custom done bu me, he MIGHT not run anything different from what is on it. But it will be a very reasonably priced kit. Hopefully some scumnbag in Ohio does not pirate it and try to pass it off as his own creation, like he has in the past.

Tom Krynock I should have two more announcements soon, one is a source of dirt cheap radiators (like 49.00 cheap) that only reguire ( OK, require is not CURRENTLY in my dictonary, but it might be there later, this happened last night as well., I guess that is what can happen when you possibly have seven strokes in two days) a new upper radiator hose, a custom lower bracket, two Subaru stock upper brackets from almost ANY other Subaru, and the very cool stock bracket from a specific Subaru radiator. The other announcement is for a select grour of Subaru people, those that are concerned about head gaskets and over heating, this one will have two phases. More on this later.

Tom Krynock Sorry, Jamie for the mention of Ohio, but I am new to the Zoloft that was perscribed to me in 2002, and I just started taking them, daily, last Friday. Again sorry. If you can delete the Ohio referance (because I can not) I think the rest of the post is f.i.n.e. : )

OK, Now the news part.

Since it was raining cats and dogs, and because we had removed the rear anti-sway bar for quicker turn-ins at autocross, Elezar thought it unsafe to try a stiffer front bar.

But, now that the pieces have been cut, I now know how much stuff costs. So, if I sell these kits, then you will have to weld, or have welded, for $50.00 each kit.

I will actually be making just under $10.00 a piece. I think that is very fair. This is what I think is a good deal for you, and I need the money!

And by a piece, I really mean a pair, or per car, you know, because there are two precision 1/4" thick plates per car, or "kit".

My phone number is; Three oh one, seven oh seven, three four three seven. ; )

Huck,

What you get is two 1/4" thick chunks of metal, 4" long, 1.25" tall, custom-cut to fit our anti-sway bar curves.

They are then precision-drilled to give two more adjustment holes per bar side. This allows you to have an adjustment just over 30% more than stock, or just over 7.5% or 15% stiffer bar, AND, if you stagger the mounting, just over 22.5% more than stock.

I could go on but there are perhaps another three to a half dozen adjustments. I have to send the metal at 6" long so that the machinist can work the metal for a tight fit. You can just weld them in, one fit perfectly, the other one could have been welded as it was, but, as anal as you know I am, I had to grind it slightly for about ten minutes for a perfect fit.

If you have a rear anti-sway bar, or better yet one of Dayle's bars, or Nevin's, this will make your SVX handle flatter! I built one for The Killer Wail. When Elezar went to the BIG track it was raining so hard he stopped after just three runs, (the car was missing due to the rain)

Hope that helps. : )

I have been wondering what went wrong with the sale of the;
Front Anti-Sway Tunable, Bar Plates.
Now referred to as; FAST, BP.

So far only two people have requested them. One is a well-respected NASA scientist, racer, and renowned rain gear model.

The other will announce his findings most likely sooner, as he is in a much warmer climate.

Would it help if I had the plates professionally welded here? That would require shipping both ways. But if it makes you feel more secure, sure, I’ll make it happen. Any Midas or other exhaust shop has a guy who can weld it up for you if you bring him the bar and plates. Or for that matter they could remove the bar, weld it and reinstall it while you wait.

Let me know what you guys think. Remember, 15% to 30% stiffer bar for flatter handling! Starting at $50.00 plus shipping.

Some pictures might help people to understand exactly what you are trying to accomplish. Your first three posts are very jumbled, confused, and hard to understand and follow.
