Front CV Axles?
 

Hey folks-

My right-front CV axle is clicking and the left boot is torn, so I can only assume it'll need replacement soon as well. I was talking to a fellow SVXer and he said that it was possible to get the axle's rebuilt for about $50 a pop. Is this my best option?

If it is making noise already, that would be the best thing to do. If it was only a little tear, and had not been long ago, you might be able to clean and grease and put the new boot on. Doesn't sound like this is the case. :( $50.00 sounds pretty good. I had heard earlier that $75.00 or more was what it might cost. Good Luck. :)

That sounds like a good price. I think my remans were about $95 a piece. And they are a snap to swap out.
